Equal Lives stories - Jay - losing my job while caring

July 23, 2018
Jay tells us about how he cares for his Mum. Jay lost his job after he started caring for his Mum as he could not work flexibly to fit around looking after his family. Equal Lives is a ground-breaking research project, in partnership with Santander UK, looking at how employers support men with caring responsibilities. We want to identify how addressing this can advance women’s equality – both in work and at home. This video gives an insight into some of the issues the research hopes to address.
