Shortlisted Companies Announced!

This year’s Responsible Business Awards (2017) saw a huge influx of entries from sustainable organisations offering some truly inspiring initiatives. As the level of competition was so high this year, the assessment process was a long and gruelling one (not to mention thoroughly enjoyable), but eventually a shortlist was selected with 92 companies (including shortlists from Wales) being nominated for 10 different award categories.

So what next?

The next stage is the judging process, which involves selecting the finalist companies. These will be chosen from the top-scoring entries in each category with approximately three to six companies chosen for each. These companies will have demonstrated an excellent standard of impact to society and benefits back to the business.

The finalists for each category will then be invited to attend the last and most crucial judging stage, which will take place between 9-11 May, where in true Dragons’ Den style, they will deliver a presentation and take part in a Q&A session before a panel of senior business leaders and category experts.

On the 4 July, all finalists will be invited to attend the prestigious 2017 Awards Gala Dinner, hosted in partnership with last year’s Responsible Business of the Year winner Veolia. Held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, the night promises to be a momentous one, as the winners will finally be revealed and responsible business will be celebrated.
