Here are answers to the most common technical queries, but if these don't answer your question direct contact details are given below.
I can't find the download or submit button | I can't log in | My registration or new password email hasn't come | I can't edit the entry form | My entry form is too large to submit | None of this helped.
Check you are on the Award categories page - you should see buttons to download/submit all Awards there.
If you do not, you will need to sign in to the BITC website by using the "Log in/register" link at the top of the page or the Log in form at the bottom of the page. If you've never registered for the site you will need to do that first - click "Register" on the log in page. It doesn't take very long.
You need to log in to the BITC website before you can see and download Awards application forms, or submit your completed entry. If you have never logged into the site before you will need to register first - it's a simple process that takes just a few steps.
If you have already registered but have forgotten your password, click on the "I've forgotten my password option".
Sorry about that. Sometimes emails from the BITC website are stopped by spam filters. Try checking your email junk folder first as it may have gone there. If that's not the case, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can reset your password for you.
You may find you get an error along the lines of "Sorry we couldn't open (award filename plus a string of random numbers and letters) if you choose to "Open" the entry form rather than save it. To get round this, choose "Save as" when downloading the form, then open the copy you saved and you will be able to edit it at will.
We have to set file size limits on the entry forms and logos to prevent huge files slowing down our system - currently Award entries can be up to 4mb in size and logos can be 2mb in size, which should be more than large enough. Try reducing the size of logos if they are too big.
But including lots of images in a Word document can dramatically increase its size, as Word does not reduce the real size of images, just displays them smaller. If your entry is too large, try reducing the size of the images in it by:
Right clicking on any image
Selecting "Format" in the toolbar at the top
Find the "Compress Pictures" icon and click it.
Untick "Apply only to this picture"
Select the "Email (96 ppi): minimize document size for sharing" button.
Your images will now be much smaller, but won't look any different.
